More and more interesting offers appear in Prozorro.Sale in the direction of NPL auctions - non-performing loans. This time, 9 lots with a total value of UAH 683 million were put up by Ukrgasbank. Currently, this bank is the only organizer announcing tenders in this category, but it is expected that Ukreksimbank will also join the market within the year.

What Is NPL?

NPL include debts of legal entities and individuals under credit, mortgage and surety agreements. These are assets for which the debtor is overdue for repayment of the debt by more than 90 days or is unable to fulfill the obligations at all without collecting security. The presence of a large share of NPL in the bank's loan portfolio deteriorates the quality of its assets, so the best solution is to transfer such debts into third hands.

Realization of assets takes place in accordance with the Regulation on the sale of NPL of state-owned banks. According to its paragraph 7, participants in the NPL auction can only be financial institutions that have the legal right to provide loan funds and/or factoring services, and are not related to the object of sale or the debtor.

Acceptance of applications for participation in the auction for each lot lasts until February 13. Bidding will take place on February 14 according to the "English" scheme, that is, in order to win, you will need to increase your price offer.
