Only recently, we wrote that Prozorro has implemented a procedure that allows international donors to make purchases in the system. So, we have another interesting news: the Bug Bounty programme, which was suspended due to the full-scale russian invasion, is starting again. And our platform is also taking part in this resumption! Let us tell you more about what it means.

The Essence of the Bug Bounty Programme

The Bug Bounty programme is an initiative that engages so-called “ethical hackers” to test various electronic services. This approach helps to identify vulnerabilities and flaws in software, which helps to improve their reliability and helps to increase the level of security. Among those who have used the programme are such digital market giants as:

- Facebook;
- Google;
- Apple;
- Microsoft.

And so, starting from 16.08.2023, the “Bug bounty” programme will be launched in the Prozorro system with the support of the state-owned enterprise “Prozorro” itself and several e-platforms, including SmartTender.biz. Therefore, cybersecurity experts are invited to join this initiative and look for possible vulnerabilities.

To find flaws, cyber specialists will be provided with all the necessary access and tools to help them in their work, and the search will take place in a special test environment that accurately reproduces the components of Prozorro and electronic platforms.

Bughunters will receive a monetary reward for completing the relevant tasks and will be able to contribute to improving data protection and strengthening the resilience of the public procurement system against cyberattacks. Follow the link to learn more about the rules of participation.
