2021 began with good news for Prozorro Sale State Enterprise. The electronic system for the state property sale has received a certificate of compliance with a complex information security system (CIPS). This means that it officially functions by the norms of the legislative documents of Ukraine on the protection of information. Preparation and passing of all necessary checks lasted a little less than 9 months.

Shortly, the process of building a CIPS will begin at the levels of SmartTender.biz and other trading platforms that have access to Prozorro Sale. In the meantime, the SE "Prozorro.Sale independently controls the level of information security of all 40 connected to the system sites.

What is CIPS

CIPS is a set of engineering, technical and organizational measures, the purpose of which is to ensure the protection of information from theft, distortion, or disclosure.

If an organization has a CIPS certificate, this is a guarantee for users that data of state importance (for example, a state secret or personal data) will not be modified, stolen, or destroyed. The certificate confirms the readiness of the system to neutralize threats from potential attackers.

So, from now on, the Prozorro.Sale system officially functions by the world's best information security practices, which allows even more organizers to enter the market for the sale of state property. And this, in turn, means even more potentially interesting lots for private business.
