The Ministry of Health has planned a large-scale project that will necessarily affect the quality of medical care for cancer patients – the reconstruction and expansion of the National Cancer Institute, located in Kiev.

This tender is interesting not only due to the enormous potential benefits but also because of the significant amount of funds allocated to it – the bidding will start from an impressive mark of UAH 2.6 billion.

What and When will the Money be Spent

Directly on the reconstruction of existing and the construction of new buildings will be spent most of the allocated amount – UAH 2.46 billion. The tender will be held 10.06.2019. Completion of large-scale construction and repair work under the terms of the published documentation is scheduled for the end of 2021.

Another UAH 106 million will be used to modernize and repair the laboratory of the institute. This will significantly improve the diagnostic capabilities of the institution. Separately planned to repair the premises of the radiology building – for this purpose, the auction provides UAH 18.5 million. This object will need to pass a year earlier – before the end of 2020. Applications for participation in the two tenders described above will be accepted until April 21, 2019, and the auction itself will take place the day after that.

The organizers focus on non-price criteria for the selection of candidates. Preference will be given to participants who do not just make an offer of good quality and at the lowest price, but also will be able to cope with the task as soon as possible. Under the terms of the auction, payment will be made within 6 months from the date of completion of the works and commissioning of the objects.

Consistent Development of the Healthcare System with ProZorro

The Ministry of Health has not ceased to please us with illustrative examples of the effective use of the ProZorro system. For example, in March, data on the procurement of medicines were announced, according to which in 2019 the state purchased the drugs at unprecedented low prices.
