Ukrainian artist Ruslan Malets from the Khmelnytsky region announced a charity auction where he plans to sell one of his works from the series "War Through My Eyes". You can take part in the auction on the SmartTender.biz site (link to the auction), using the instructions below.

The starting price of the lot is UAH 146,280. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What Is Shown in the Picture?

The author wrote a picture called "Bereginya" in May 2022. He depicted a Ukrainian woman, the so-called "Bereginya", which is raised in the arms. They, according to the artist, are a symbol of the Ukrainian people, who are fighting to the last breath for the independence and territorial integrity of their homeland.

Behind the silhouette of a woman, wings are outstretched. They symbolize the inflexibility of Ukrainians and the guardianship of the third Divine Person, which, according to Christian doctrine, appeared to mankind in the form of a dove that gives peace. By this, the author wanted to demonstrate the desire for peace and such an expected Victory.

Ruslan Malets wrote his work on old boards, giving emotionality and testifying to the identity of Ukrainians.

The artist has been successfully combining the past with the present for many years and often paints his paintings on forty-year-old wooden picket fences, from which he makes tablets. Ruslan believes that the structure of the tree better emphasizes the painted image. And thanks to a special approach to work, his works of art are original and durable.

How to Participate in a Charity Auction?

Any person registered on the SmartTender.biz electronic platform as a “Supplier” can take part in this auction. You can register at the link: https://smarttender.biz/en/registration/step1/.

To participate, follow these steps:

1. Open the auction page: https://smarttender.biz/en/auctions-of-government-assets/PS-57274/
2. Read the information about the lot on the page and click the "Submit Offer" button.
3. On the page that opens, fill in the electronic fields. The price you offer must NOT be lower than the starting price.
4. Click the "Submit Offer" button at the bottom of the page.

The acceptance of proposals ends on June 5th. The next day, a three-round auction will take place, during which bidders will alternately increase or maintain their initial price bid. The one with the highest bid at the end of the third round wins.
