On May 24, the President of Ukraine signed the Law, which launches a transparent market for the sale and lease of agricultural land, which is now fully transferred to the ownership of communal enterprises and united territorial communities. CE and UTC obtained the right to independently lease or sell their land plots, using the electronic system for holding auctions Prozorro Sale.

What Laws Do Enshrine This Right?

The right to dispose of land was enshrined in two Laws:

1. Law of Ukraine No. 2194 amended the Land Code and other regulatory documents to improve the land management system. The Law removed artificial restrictions on economic activity and simplified access for businesses and the population to land resources. It also determined that land plots can only be sold or bought by Ukrainian citizens.
2. Law of Ukraine No. 2195 amended the legislative acts on the sale of land using electronic auctions. It identified Prozorro.Sale as the only system for bidding for the sale or lease of land. Accordingly, only registered users of electronic platforms will be able to sell or buy land plots.

When Will Land Auctions Appear on SmartTender.biz?

As soon as the first land auctions are published by the organizers in Prozorro.Sale – SmartTender.biz users will have access to them and can apply for participation. Auction announcements will be posted in the "Land" section on the site's page.
