In October 2018, Ukrzaliznytsia JSC launched a pilot project for the rental of wagons through the Prozorro.Sale system. After a year of the pilot project, the company said that 100% of the services for the carriage of goods in wagons will be implemented through the Prozorro Sale system.

Today, in this way, absolutely all gondola cars, grain carriers, cement trucks and other rolling stock of the enterprise are already being rented online. Everyone can take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the auction!

Railcar Online Rental Mechanism

Selling rental services through the ProZorro.Sele system allows using a more transparent, market-based distribution mechanism for wagons. In February 2020, Ukrzaliznytsia JSC launched its first Dutch auctions. They compare favorably with previously used English auctions in that it takes only one day from the moment of the announcement of the auction to the summing up of their results.

The price of used railcars during the Dutch auction can not only increase, but also decrease. The decision to switch to this format of bidding was made to promptly respond to any fluctuations in market demand.

Participation in Ukrzaliznytsia JSC Auctions

Everyone who has signed an agreement with the company can take part in the auction and use the services of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC. The procedure for online railcar rental is very simple:

1. Sign an agreement with Ukrzaliznytsia JSC (if you no such agreement).
2. Register on the SmartTender site.
3. Send the application for an additional agreement to the contract to the mailbox UZorro@uz-cargo.com.
4. After signing the additional agreement send it to the Transport Logistics Center TLC branch or the corresponding regional branch of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC.
5. Take part in the auction.
6. Sign the protocol using a digital signature.

All this greatly simplifies the rental of rolling stock for their own logistic needs and gives equal access to this resource to absolutely all market participants.
